As a psychologist, I place great emphasis on building a safe and trusting working relationship with clients. I like to work collaboratively and ensure your voice is heard and respected throughout the therapeutic process. I believe it is important that this space is established and maintained so that you are able to comfortably bring yourself into each session.
I have an interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and seeking to heal and make sense of this experience. Together, I hope to help you integrate any distressing situations and trauma you have experienced, with the focus on allowing you to move towards your goals in life.
I am also particularly interested in working with couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship, whether that be to a communication breakdown, conflict, transition, infidelity or loss of connection. I hope to support you to re-connect, find new ways of relating to each other and regaining a sense of shared understanding.I also work with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, and loss/grief.
My therapeutic approach draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, primarily schema therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and integrating psychodynamic principles. I have experience working with both adults and teenagers in various settings. At present I also work as a Psychologist in the not for profit sector.

The teenage years can be a turbulent time when young people go through many life changes. Counselling can be helpful for adolescents to have a space to talk through difficult experiences, emotions and relationships.
Are you having difficulties with the important people in your life? Counselling can be helpful to explore these issues and find more effective ways of communicating and understanding each other.
