Working on the things your plan is there to help with.

If your NDIS plan includes funding for psychology, we can use it to work on the parts of daily life that feel harder than they should. That might be managing anxiety or low mood, building confidence, coping with change, or developing practical strategies for the day to day. Counselling here is calm and collaborative, at your pace, focused on what will actually make a difference day to day. If you're a parent, carer or plan manager enquiring for someone else, you're very welcome to make the first contact and ask questions on their behalf.

Steady, patient support.

Whatever brings you here, my aim is the same: to really understand what you're going through, and to help you move toward something that feels better. I work collaboratively, at your pace, in a space where you can be honest without being judged.

Many of the NDIS participants I see are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent, and I adjust how we work together, the pace, the structure, the way we communicate, to fit the person in front of me. The work focuses on the goals your plan supports and on building strategies that carry into everyday life. I've spent fifteen years in mental health, across adult work, suicide intervention, and counselling teenagers and young adults. Evolve is my own practice, and Beaumaris has been home to it for the better part of a decade.

My practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Ericksonian Brief Therapy and mindfulness. Registered with AHPRA and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).

How it works with your plan
01

Check your funding

You'll need psychology funded in your plan, usually under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living, and to be self- or plan-managed.

02

Get in touch

Email or book online with your NDIS number and, if you're plan-managed, your plan manager's details. We'll put a short service agreement in place.

03

Start sessions

Regular counselling sessions in Beaumaris, Thursdays and Fridays. Invoices go straight to your plan manager, or to you if you self-manage.

NDIS & fees

Using your NDIS funding

What it costs you

Sessions are charged within the NDIS price limits for psychology, so where your plan covers the work there's no out-of-pocket cost to you. Report writing and other supports, where they're needed, are also drawn from your plan.

Plan-managed ✓ Self-managed ✓ NDIA-managed — not available

I work with self- and plan-managed participants. If your plan is NDIA (agency) managed, it needs to be with a registered provider, so I wouldn't be able to bill for your sessions.

Other funding pathways: TAC, WorkCover, or Medicare with a GP Mental Health Care Plan.

Beaumaris, Thursdays and Fridays.

17 South Concourse, Beaumaris VIC 3193, in Bayside Melbourne, with online sessions available. Easy parking. The counselling room is up a flight of stairs; if stairs are a barrier, online sessions are available.

Clients visit from across the bay: Black Rock, Sandringham, Hampton, Brighton, Cheltenham, Mentone, Parkdale, Mordialloc and surrounds.

Common questions
Do I need a referral to use my NDIS funding?

No GP referral is needed. As long as your plan includes psychology funding and you're self- or plan-managed, you can get started by getting in touch.

How do I know if my plan covers this?

Look for Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living funding, which usually covers therapeutic supports like psychology. If you're not sure, your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm, or send me your plan details and I'll help you check.

What if I'm NDIA (agency) managed?

Agency-managed plans can only use NDIS-registered providers. I work with self- and plan-managed participants, so I wouldn't be able to bill your sessions in that case.

Do you do assessments or diagnosis?

No. I provide individual therapy and capacity-building support, not ADHD, autism or cognitive assessments and not formal diagnosis. If that's what you're after, a specialist assessment service is the right fit.

How does payment work?

If you're plan-managed, I invoice your plan manager directly and you pay nothing out of pocket. If you self-manage, I invoice you and you claim it back through the NDIS.

Who do you work with?

Adults and teenagers aged 13 and over, one to one. I don't offer couples sessions or work with children under 13.

Is the room wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately not. The counselling room is up a flight of stairs and there is no lift. If stairs are a barrier, online sessions are available; mention it when you get in touch and we'll work out what suits.

When you're ready.

Book online, or get in touch by email or SMS. I'm usually in session during the day, so I'll return your message at my earliest opportunity, typically within one business day. Let me know your NDIS number and, if you have one, your plan manager's details, and I'll take it from there. I keep a small number of NDIS places at any one time, so it's worth getting in touch to check current availability.
